A browser may be enough to read and compare
Our guides and comparison tools run in the browser without an app. On any mobile experience, check whether essential navigation, rules and text remain usable on your phone. A smooth lobby does not prove that every embedded game performs equally well.
Know what you are installing
A native application is different from a browser shortcut. Check the publisher and requested permissions. Do not treat an unsolicited APK or a link calling itself an update as proof of a trustworthy source.
Shortcuts keep a website within reach
Chrome supports adding website shortcuts to an Android Home Screen. Google’s current instructions explain the menu for creating and naming a shortcut. A shortcut is a convenient route to a website, not a separate certification of its content.
Check touch targets and orientation
Controls should be comfortably separated, the back action should behave predictably and pop-up panels should fit the visible area. Check both orientations and use the information screen to identify how the particular game works.
Free downloads can include purchases
A free pokies download for Android can still contain paid virtual coins or subscriptions. Read the product’s terms and manage device purchasing controls. Access to an app does not make cash-play online pokies authorised for Australian users.
